A rock band with post-hardcore influences from Schwerte, Germany. Influenced by the bands and sounds of their youth as well as contemporary rock, post-hardcore and metal, they bring a diverse range of musical inspirations to their sound. Their music combines raw energy and emotional depth, which makes for a distinctive and captivating sound.
GREYLĀND come from Schwerte, Germany, and play rock with post-hardcore influences. Formed in 2017, the band has played in its current line-up since the end of 2022: Julian Demiet (vocals), Maik Steinhauer (guitar, vocals), Julian Agel (guitar) and Christian Schröder (drums). The bass position is currently vacant — the band is looking for a new player and keeps playing in the meantime.
Their sound is shaped by the bands the members grew up with, plus contemporary rock, post-hardcore and metal. The result is a mix of raw energy and emotional depth: catchy melodies next to heavy passages, songs that can be loud without losing the chorus.
GREYLĀND have released singles regularly since 2024. “You”, “Carved In Stone”, “Something Different”, “Hide And Seek” and “Friends In A Box” were followed in 2025 by “My Present” and, in November, “Second Spring”. All tracks are self-released and available on Spotify, Apple Music and the other platforms; the videos are on the band's own YouTube channel.
The band plays across the Ruhr area and Westphalia, including Essen, Rheine, Paderborn and Witten, in clubs as well as at festivals. Enquiries for shows and press go directly to the band; the technical and hospitality riders are available for download on this page.
